I recently read an article on Yahoo News about a television reporter who was investigating quick weight loss diet claims. I thought her story was incredible, so I thought I would share her story with you.

The reporter’s name is Julia Miller and she’s with the News 7 team in Los Angeles. She had noted all the advertisements, television reports, and blog postings about Acai Berry and how it was suppose to be the new wonder drug for dieters.

She talked to her producers and they decided to check it out. Julia volunteered to be the guinea pig.

Julia had read that the most successful of these Acai Berry diets also involved using a colon cleanse product as well. While the Acai Berry helped to suppress appetite and add energy, the colon cleanse products helped the digestive tract to increase metabolism and rids the body of toxins.

After some research, she chose the two products to use for the test. She chose Acai Berry Select and Digest It Colon Cleanse.

Julia started the test weighing 147 pounds. Following are the results of the test and what they reported on their TV newscast:

After Week 1

Julia reported that at the end of 7 days that she felt fantastic! She had not changed anything in her daily routine. She had not once felt hungry (probably due to the Acai Berry) and she felt like she had more energy.

She had not stepped onto the scales until the end of day 7 and when she did she said she was amazed – she had dropped 9 pounds and was under 140 pounds for the first time in years.

After Week 2

Julia reported that she continued to have more energy and she was even sleeping better. She was not tossing around and turning over in bed. She surmised that this was probably due to having fewer toxins in her body.

When she weighed at the end of week 2, she reported that she had lost another 7 pounds – now, a total of 16 pounds had been lost.

At this point, she began to think that maybe this quick weight loss diet was not a gimmick.

After Week 3

She reported that she lost another 6 pounds. She was down two full dress sizes and she was still full of energy. She said she no longer felt like she needed to take a nap in the late afternoons. The combination of the Acai Berry and colon cleanse seemed to spread her energy throughout the day.

Julia also reported that she could tell she was digesting her food better. She no longer experienced bloating and she wasn’t passing gas after she ate.

After Week 4

Julia and everybody else at New 7 were shocked! In week 4 she lost another 3 pounds for a total weight loss of 25 pounds. She said she didn’t really have that much more to lose.

She said she was now down to a total weight of 122 pounds – the same weight she had when she was in college. She also reported that her skin felt softer and had more color, probably due to all the vitamins contained in the Acai Berry.
